چکیده
Assessments of Soil physical properties and estimation their associated variability are essential for making site-specific decisions on soil crop management This study examined the spatial hydro-physical variance structure at Sector F1 Jibia Irrigation project Katsina State, Nigeria. Grid sampling technique was used to obtain one hundred forty-four (144) samples from 206 ha land using Google earth. The grids were drawn earth software intervals 150 m x m. Surface (0 - 20 cm) collected grid intersection points. air-dried passed through a 2mm sieve, analyzed standard laboratory procedures parameters. ArcGIS package 10.3 model Sand, Silt, Clay, Bulk density, Particle Percent total porosity Organic Matter (OM). Results obtained revealed that coefficient variation (CV) ranged 5.724% in particle density 109% clay. Semivariogram showed range dependence varied 0.342m (Dry mean weight diameter) 9.3m (Organic matter) all measured properties. High Spatial dependency ratios observed Silt clay contents. exhibited moderate (Nugget sill ratio 0.25 – 0.75%). Wet Mean diameter organic matter content have weak dependency. results indicated sandy textured soils dominated greater part area with low content. being sandy-dominated has high infiltration rate ability retain moisture nutrients as major characteristics area.

Effect of 10-year continuous saffron cultivation on physical and chemical properties of soil
The effect of 10-year continuous saffron cultivation on physical and chemical properties of a silty clay loam soil was investigated in a research farm of College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz (52 º 33ʹ E Longitude and 29º 36ʹ N latitude), Iran. This farm was irrigated with different regimes (100% of saffron's potential evapotranspiration (ETp), 75%ETp, 50%ETp) including rain fed tre...

A strategy for sampling soil from intact monolith lysimeters was established based on measurements of spatial heterogeneity within the lysimeter area. This was part of an ongoing study to determine relationships between soil microbial diversity and nutrient loss by leaching. The sampling protocol had to allow for collection of soil on a regular basis (as opposed to destructive sampling) and ens...
